THE POSITION

TITLE Fundraising & Development Manager

REPORTING TO Executive Director (ED)

DIRECT REPORTS One

PLACE OF WORK * Merrion Square North, Dublin 2

HOURS Part-Time (3/4 days per week)

SUMMARY

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for meeting and exceeding
agreed fundraising targets and objectives – including working with
external and internal stakeholders to deliver a clear pipeline of
prospects to maximise major donor, philanthropic, and trust and
foundational fundraising income. The fundraiser will also help out
with TASC’s project application process as part of their role.

ABOUT TASC

TASC is an independent think-tank whose mission is to address
inequality and sustain democracy by translating analysis into action.
TASC’s Constitution presents its main objectives as:

As a public education charity, TASC engages in research and public
outreach concerning inequality, democracy, social inclusion and
climate justice in the current political, economic, and social
environment. Through its work, TASC seeks to increase knowledge of
public policy, improve working conditions, facilitate a just
transition to advance climate action and protect livelihoods and
communities, and more generally, contribute to positive social change
in Ireland and the EU. 2 Our inequality stream spans a range of
socio-economic areas, including income inequality, housing, pension
adequacy, and more. We have organised several projects that engage a
variety of organisations such as civil society actors, trade unions,
government entities, EU partners, and more.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

* Manage TASC's budget (income only) with ED and Finance Manager.
* Liaise with ED on major donors and potential donors from
identification.
* Liaise with staff and finance on invoices.
* Provide & update governance documentation where needed for funding
applications.
* Prepare project budgets & manage Partner Contracts- MOUs.
* Liaise with corporates from initial meeting to closing.
* Plan * small individual fundraising
campaigns throughout *.
* Prepare for the Fundraising Committee Meeting with the ED.
* Prepare the fundraising update for the Board meeting with the ED.
* Manage reporting process for Pobal SSNO funding.
* Plan & send seasonal campaigns: Generate & approve content,
personalise letters.
* Manage project application process from identification through to
project start date.
* Liaise with small portfolio of individual and monthly donors.

PERSON PROFILE

TASC are seeking someone who has exceptional fundraising experience,
is proactive, confident, organised, with excellent communication
skills and the ability to think creatively, build great relationships,
and win others over. The post holder will have experience in the
management of external stakeholders, particularly trusts and
foundations, major donors, and corporate partners, will be
solution-focused, and have excellent verbal, written and digital
communication skills. Additionally, the post-holder will be
self-motivated and passionate about TASC’s vision and mission. They
will need to be a “people person”, genuinely interested in meeting
other people, an active listener, and knowledgeable about a broad
range of interests.

* Relevant experience and proven track record of working as part of

* Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering major

proactive partnership development and financial planning skills -

* Experience with major giving strategies and ability to think

* Experience working with private foundations & corporate sponsors/

* Experience managing individual donors, unions and campaigns -

* Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with a diverse

* Project management skills – proven ability to implement plans
and deliverables to tight deadlines - _ESSENTIAL_
* Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the
ability to communicate with and present to Board and Committee and
internal and external stakeholders - _ESSENTIAL_
* Finance and budget management skills, and excellent numeracy
skills - _ESSENTIAL_
* Be results-focussed with the ability to work under pressure, to
meet targets and deadlines, and with proven planning, organisational,
analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure attention to detail a

* Experience of using the Microsoft suite of software programmes,
MailChimp and Salesforce - _ESSENTIAL_
* Goal-oriented self-starter who can be both a proactive leader and
a hands-on participant in a collaborative work environment focused on

* Relevant third level degree and/or professional qualification -

* Experience managing one direct report to aid with fundraising

* Experience working on research projects and compiling necessary

COMPENSATION
